Weather Station

The Weather Station was established in 2004 by Lokmangal College of Agriculture to facilitate the accurate collection of meteorological data and support weather forecasting services. The data collected from the station serves as a valuable resource for academic, research, and extension activities.

Students and faculty utilize the weather data for laboratory experiments, class projects, group projects, and various research initiatives. The information gathered also contributes to the development and optimization of crop irrigation practices, pest and disease management models, and other agricultural research aimed at enhancing crop productivity and quality.

Additionally, the Weather Station plays a crucial role in helping farmers and researchers take timely precautionary measures against adverse weather conditions such as heavy rainfall, strong winds, extreme temperatures, pest infestations, and crop diseases. Through continuous monitoring and analysis, it supports informed decision-making and promotes sustainable agricultural practices.
